Kontou Lora was born in the former Soviet Union in 1945. She studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of St. Petersburg, taking the thesis for contemporary art in 1976. For about a year following seminars in Dresden School of Painting in Germany (1974). Since 1978 she lives in Thessaloniki. She has presented her work in solo and group exhibitions. In 2001 he won first prize at the 45th international exhibition of women artists, Myth and Vision, in Athens. Since 1982, he has illustrated many children's books.
